Lasting relief from itchy, inflamed skin.
Eczema, psoriasis, urticaria and contact dermatitis are often misdiagnosed and under-treated. At Skin Shine, Dr. Anitha builds a long-term control plan — not just a steroid cream — so you can stop fighting your skin every day.
Control the fire, heal the barrier.
Inflammatory skin conditions are multi-factorial — genetics, immune system, barrier function and triggers all interact.
A quick steroid cream may calm a flare, but without addressing the barrier and triggers the rash returns. At Skin Shine, our approach is three-fold: calm the current flare, rebuild the skin barrier, identify and remove your personal triggers.
We use the full modern toolkit — topical steroids, calcineurin inhibitors, biologics for psoriasis, narrow-band UVB phototherapy, allergen patch testing and personalised homecare. Every plan is calibrated to how active your condition is, not to a one-size guideline.
Dr. Anitha works with you long-term — tapering medication as your skin recovers, managing stress-triggered flares, and supporting you through life events (pregnancy, travel, illness) without setbacks.

Detailed History & Exam
Triggers, family history, previous treatments, occupation, lifestyle — plus thorough skin examination and dermoscopy where needed.
Allergen Patch Testing (if indicated)
Identifying contact allergens hiding in shampoos, cosmetics, jewellery, detergents — so you can remove the cause.
Acute Flare Management
Prescription topicals & short oral courses to rapidly calm the flare — the same-day relief your skin needs.
Barrier Repair
Curated moisturiser regimen, gentle cleansers and ceramide/NMF therapy — rebuilding the skin's first line of defence.
Phototherapy & Biologics
Narrow-band UVB for psoriasis and severe eczema; biologic injections for advanced cases — only when truly needed.
Long-Term Maintenance
Stepping down therapy as you improve, trigger management, and quick-response plans for future flares.
Patient, honest, long-term care.
Unhurried Consultations
30–45 min for new patients — inflammatory skin deserves time, not a 5-minute "try this cream" visit.
Responsible Steroid Use
Right potency, right duration, right tapering — we never overuse topical steroids, so your skin stays strong.
Pregnancy-Safe Plans
Protocols adapted for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers — safely controlling flares without risk.
Common questions, clear answers.
Is eczema / psoriasis curable?
Both are chronic conditions with cycles of flares and remission. They can't be "cured" permanently, but with the right protocol most patients achieve long stretches of clear, comfortable skin.
Are steroid creams harmful?
Not when used correctly. Responsible dermatologist-guided use is safe. Problems only arise from self-medication or using the wrong potency for months on end.
Can diet help?
For most eczema/psoriasis, diet plays a secondary role. We focus on proven triggers (nickel, fragrance, harsh detergents) first, and investigate dietary links only when supported by evidence.
Can my child be treated here?
Yes — we treat paediatric eczema with child-safe protocols. Dr. Anitha is experienced with infants and children.
