Pigment-precise energy — for stubborn marks.
Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser for stubborn pigmentation — Nevus of Ota, Hori's nevus, freckles, lentigines, café-au-lait macules and tattoo removal. Picosecond-class precision, minimal downtime.
What it is, plainly.
Q-Switched lasers deliver energy in extremely short nanosecond pulses — just long enough to fragment pigment particles, too short to heat surrounding skin. That makes them the tool of choice for deep dermal pigment that surface treatments cannot reach.
Our 1064nm Nd:YAG Q-Switched laser handles dermal pigment safely on Indian skin: Nevus of Ota, Hori's nevus, café-au-lait macules, freckles, deep lentigines and tattoos. Different conditions need different fluence settings, spot sizes and number of sessions — uniformly handled by salon devices, precisely calibrated by us.
Importantly: melasma is treated with toning protocols, NOT high-fluence Q-Switch shots. Mis-treating melasma with Q-Switch worsens it. Dr. Anitha distinguishes these conditions clinically before treatment.

Pigmentation Mapping
Wood's lamp + dermoscopy distinguishes epidermal vs dermal pigment. Q-Switch is for dermal — we use other tools for surface only.
Test Spot
Small test patch first; we confirm response and exclude paradoxical darkening.
Cooling & Eye Shielding
Compound numbing optional. Eye shields essential — laser energy can damage retina.
Calibrated Pulses
Each lesion treated to clinical end-point: pigment lightening, mild whitening, no breakdown of skin.
Days 1–7
Mild crusting that flakes off. Skin lightens at 4 weeks as body clears fragmented pigment.
Repeat at 6 Weeks
4–8 sessions for full clearance, depending on depth and density.

Long-Term Aftercare
Treatment is the start. Maintenance, photographs and follow-up are part of the package — for life.
Common questions, clear answers.
Is this the same as laser toning?
Same machine, different settings. Toning is low-fluence, multi-pass, weekly — for melasma. Q-Switch high-fluence single-pass is for deep pigment and tattoos. The settings make them entirely different procedures.
Can my Nevus of Ota be cleared completely?
In most cases, yes — over 4–8 sessions. Childhood/adolescent Nevus of Ota responds best; adult-onset is slower.
Will the pigment come back?
Truly cleared dermal pigment does not return. Surface lentigines/freckles can recur with sun exposure — strict SPF required.
Tattoo removal — how many sessions?
Black single-colour: 6–10 sessions. Multi-colour: 8–15 sessions. Realistic expectation set at consultation.
