Light-based renewal — for sun-stamped skin.
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) photofacial for sun spots, freckles, broken capillaries, redness and overall radiance. Multi-purpose treatment for the post-30 skin that needs a reset.
What it is, plainly.
IPL is the broadest-spectrum light treatment in dermatology. Unlike a laser (single wavelength), IPL uses filtered pulsed light spanning a range of wavelengths that target multiple chromophores — pigment, blood, water — simultaneously.
That makes IPL the workhorse for skin that has multiple concerns at once: sun spots, freckles, broken capillaries, mild rosacea, dull tone. One session addresses all of them where lasers would need separate visits.
IPL is best for fair–medium skin tones (Fitzpatrick I–III). Darker skin needs more conservative settings or alternative wavelength technology — we always assess skin type carefully and recommend honestly.
Conditions and concerns we address.
- Sun spots & lentigines
- Freckles
- Broken capillaries on face
- Mild rosacea & redness
- Uneven tone (combined pigment + redness)
- Dull, tired skin
- Pre-event glow (10 days before)
- Hand & chest sun damage
Step-by-step, no surprises.
Skin Type Assessment
Fitzpatrick scoring + cross-polarised photography. We confirm IPL is the right tool — or recommend alternative.
Cooling Gel & Eye Shields
Cool gel applied; opaque eye shields protect from light flash.
Sequential Pulses
Each pulse covers ~2cm². Mild snap sensation — many patients describe it as a rubber band flick.
Immediate Response
Sun spots darken within minutes (this is good — they will flake off in 7–10 days). Vessels disappear or transient bruise.
Days 1–10
Spots crust and shed naturally. No picking. Strict SPF 50.
Repeat at 4 Weeks
3–5 sessions for cumulative clearance and glow.

Common questions, clear answers.
Is IPL the same as laser?
No. IPL is broad-spectrum (multi-wavelength) light; lasers are single-wavelength. IPL is great for multi-concern skin; lasers are precise for specific targets.
Can darker (Indian) skin do IPL?
Conservative IPL is fine for medium-Indian skin (Fitzpatrick III–IV). Very dark skin (V–VI) is at risk of pigmentary side effects — we recommend Q-Switch laser toning instead.
Will spots come back?
The treated spots stay gone. Your sun behaviour determines whether new spots form — strict SPF 50 daily is non-negotiable.
How fast do I see results?
Spots darken and shed within 10 days. Vessels clear in 4–6 weeks. Glow is visible after one session.
