Even, glowing skin — without bleach.
Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser toning for stubborn pigmentation, melasma, dull skin and uneven tone. Safe for Indian skin, no peeling, no downtime — a ritual that compounds session over session.
What it is, plainly.
Laser toning uses very low-fluence Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser energy delivered in rapid passes across the entire face. The energy fragments excess melanin without injuring the surrounding skin — and over a series of sessions the skin clears and brightens.
Done correctly, laser toning is the safest in-clinic intervention for melasma — the notoriously stubborn pigmentation triggered by hormones and sun. Done badly (too high a fluence, too fragmented spots), it can paradoxically darken skin. Technique matters.
Dr. Anitha personally calibrates each session based on skin type, melasma activity and previous response. Most patients see clearer, more luminous skin from session 3–4 and a marked improvement by 6–8.

Pigmentation Workup
Wood's lamp examination + dermoscopy to identify melasma type (epidermal, dermal, mixed). Treatment protocols differ.
Skin Prep (2 weeks)
Daily SPF 50, kojic/azelaic acid serum, no waxing/threading. Sun avoidance is non-negotiable.
Session
Topical numbing optional. Laser passes in 4–6 directions per zone. You feel a warm tingle — no pain.
Post-Session Care
Mineral sunscreen, gentle moisturiser. No active ingredients (retinol, AHA) for 24 hours.
Weekly Cadence
Sessions weekly for 6–8 weeks. Spacing further apart reduces effect.
Maintenance
Monthly toning thereafter for melasma-prone skin. Combine with strict SPF and oral tranexamic acid for best long-term control.

Common questions, clear answers.
Is laser toning safe for Indian skin?
Yes — Nd:YAG at 1064nm is the safest laser wavelength for darker skin tones. The melanin in our skin is not specifically targeted at this wavelength.
Will my pigmentation come back?
Melasma is hormone- and sun-driven and can recur. Strict SPF and a maintenance regimen keep it controlled — without them it will return regardless of treatment.
Any peeling or scabbing?
No. Toning is sub-ablative — you walk out looking refreshed, not raw. That is the point.
Can I combine with chemical peels?
Yes. Peels exfoliate the surface; toning treats the dermal pigment. Used together, they accelerate clearance.
